sAme sAme brings the vibrant energy of Southeast Asian cuisine to life through authentic Thai dishes, prepared with the best local produce and traditional methods, like cooking over hot coals in searing woks. The menu is every-evolving, with seasonal specials and favourites that keep guests returning. The Role

sAme sAme is looking for a casual Commis Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team. This is a casual position offering 20-25 hours and is well suited for someone who enjoys working with fresh ingredients, thrives under pressure and is eager to continue building a career in hospitality. Inspired by the bold, vibrant flavours of Thailand, you'll work alongside experienced chefs to prepare and present high-quality dishes while developing your skills across a fast-paced, quality-focused kitchen:

• At least 1 year of experience working in an Asian-inspired kitchen
• Experience working across grill, wok and/or curry sections
• Confidence in preparing and plating dishes to a consistently high standard
• A strong understanding of mise en place, cleanliness and section organisation
• The ability to follow recipes, kitchen systems and service standards
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn from experienced chefs
• Good knife skills and the physical fitness to thrive in a busy kitchen
• A sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• A Commercial Cookery qualification or apprenticeship (highly regarded)
