About Biànca
Biànca was born out of a desire to bring the spirit of Italian dining to Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, capturing the effervescence of a classic trattoria within a sleek, warm, and colourful setting. The food focuses on perfecting classic Italian dishes, made in-house with fresh, seasonal produce.
The beverage program is thoughtful and balanced, featuring Italian-leaning wines and seasonal cocktails that complement the food and the vibrant atmosphere.
The Role
Biànca is looking for a professional and focused Commis Chef to join the team.
This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently under pressure and a genuine passion for producing exceptional Italian food. You'll be joining a collaborative kitchen where quality, consistency and teamwork are at the heart of every service.
This role will be best suited to someone who:
- Has experience working in a quality-driven kitchen environment
- Holds a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or is currently completing one)
- Has experience with volume prep and confidently maintains consistency throughout service
- Has pasta making experience, or is eager to develop this skill
- Takes pride in strong mise en place, organisation and cleanliness
- Can confidently follow recipes, plating guides and established kitchen systems
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and communicates well under pressure
- Has a genuine passion for Italian cuisine, exceptional produce and continuous learning
- Enjoys contributing ideas and being part of a collaborative, high-performing kitchen
