The Role

Idle is looking for a casual kitchen hand to join the team. This position plays an essential part in supporting both our cafe and bakery kitchens by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and operational support. You will assist with wholesale deliveries, dishwashing, basic food preparation, stock handling, helping to maintain the flow of service. This is well suited for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a focused and high-performing team. 

• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically active environment
• Willingness to learn and support all areas of kitchen operations
• Experience with cleaning, dishwashing, lifting, and maintaining organised workspaces
• Comfortable handling deliveries, stock rotation, and storage procedures
• Understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety practices
• Current diver's license for wholesale delivery runs
• Suitable for those on a student visa or seeking casual work
• Food Safety Certificate required
