About Agnes 

Set in a heritage building in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Agnes is an experience built around the elemental art of wood-fired cooking—no gas, no electricity, just flame. Set across three thoughtfully designed levels, including a main dining room, wine bar and terrace, Agnes celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and seasonal produce. Our meticulously curated beverage program—featuring a deep, evolving wine cellar, thoughtful cocktails and rare spirits—complements the bold flavours of our open-fire menu.

The Role

Our kitchen team at Agnes are looking for Head Kitchen Hand to join the team on a full-time basis. You will play a vital support role in the kitchen, helping to maintain the flow of service through cleanliness, organisation and teamwork. This position is suited to someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a focused and high-performing team.

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or similar environment
• Proven ability to lead or coordinate small teams
• Strong understanding of hygiene, WHS, and cleaning protocols
• Excellent time management and task delegation skills
• Experience in a fast-paced, multi-service hospitality venue
• Exposure to compliance inspections or food safety audits
