The Role

We are looking for a casual Cook to join the team at Idle. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong teamwork skills, is curious, and enjoys working with high-quality seasonal produce. You will support day-to-day kitchen operations, delivering consistency, contribute to food preparation and uphold venue standards. Shifts will be across breakfast and lunch services with flexibility across a seven-day operation.

• Willingness to grow and learn
• 2+ years’ experience as a cook
• Proven experience in short order kitchens is desirable
• Good communication and a positive attitude
• Food safety certificate required
• Strong mise en place and section management skills
• Ability to consistently deliver quality food.
• Willingness to participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement
• Adherence hygiene requirements and cleanliness
